Mariana Puente Lera
Mariana Puente Lera is a current MA student in International Relations with a concentration on Conflict Resolution and Negotiation. Her research interests explore the relationship between gender, the State, and AI mass surveillance tactics as it pertains to democratic backsliding, with particular attention to the gendered design and enforcement of surveillance policy, its use in suppressing women-led political movements, and its comparative manifestations across hybrid and consolidated democracies.
